It seems that Murphy’s Law can enter into the picture at the most inopportune moments and in those times, having the tools and support to navigate through them can be impactful in ways we did not even know.  As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I take into account how your environment, community, support system, and self-interact with each other and work with you to find ways to address the challenges you may face on your journey.  As your therapist, I believe it is my responsibility not only to provide the support and education you need when dealing with life’s many challenges, but also encourage you to become the best version of yourself that you can be.  As a Christian, I seek to serve others as Christ served us and to treat others with the utmost dignity and respect.

After earning my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville’s Kent School of Social Work in Louisville, KY, I relocated to San Antonio.  I chose Texas, as it is military friendly and shows great respect for our Armed Forces.  As the proud daughter of a retired Army Colonel and granddaughter of a Navy Seabee, I felt a strong calling to work with Active-Duty Military and Veterans. I previously worked as a career counselor with the Army Transition Assistance Program, providing services to Active-Duty Service Members who were discharging from the military.  I have extensive experience working with Active-Duty Military and Veterans, as well as experience providing crisis management, crisis resolution, and case management.  I am currently under the supervision of Andrea Alvarez, M.Ed., LPC-S, NCC.
