As my client you can expect to hear me say, “progress, not perfection” because I like to remind all my clients that they are only human and doing the best they can. With that being said, I believe counseling can be a great resource for managing the commotion in our lives. I recognize counseling as a powerful and personal process, where a strong therapeutic relationship is very important. Due to this, I will do my best to assist you. It is my passion and life’s work to support my clients in both finding and achieving their goals. As your counselor, I will collaborate with you to establish your therapeutic goals. Based off those goals, I will then equip you with effective tools and mindfulness techniques you can use to cope with immediate challenges. Ultimately, I strive to set you up for long-term success. My primary approach to counseling is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it is not only evidence-based but challenges the unhelpful patterns of thinking that have been holding you back. In addition to CBT, I utilize a person-centered approach, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to meet the client’s individual needs.
