
As a counselor and former teacher, Alexandra Banks enjoys helping clients envision their personal goals and facilitating progress and lasting growth. Alexandra primarily utilizes elements of CBT, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy to address the specific needs of her clients. She believes in the importance of developing a counseling relationship that inspires, equips, and motivates clients to live their best life.
Banks graduated Summa Cum Laude with a M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addiction Counseling. The majority of her graduate work focused on addiction, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Alexandra also worked closely with Bexar County Drug Court and she has also earned her EMDR certification for trauma counseling. Alexandra is currently being supervised by Andrea M. Alvarez, Med, LPC-S, NCC.
